Interfaith Prayer Vigil for Nuclear Disarmament – Saturday August 6th 10:00-11:15 a.m. at Davenport Park (Cedar & Main St.) in Bangor

Pax Christi greater Bangor invites you and your community members to gather together as people of faith and conscience for a Nuclear Disarmament Prayer Vigil. There will be prayers, reflections, music and periods of silence with bells rung to close our time of prayer and witness.

The horrific war on Ukraine has once again raised public awareness about the very real threat of nuclear annihilation in our time. Let us highlight the 77th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by coming together to pray for nuclear disarmament, to pray for peace, to act for peace and to further the creation of a world committed to nonviolence.
